Current History of Tibet and its homeland. Tibetan Children need our help.

AIDING TIBETAN CHILDREN IN EXILE: Since the invasion of Tibet in 1949 by the Communist Chinese, over one million Tibetans have died as a direct result of the occupation. More than six thousand monasteries -- centers of Tibetan culture and learning -- have been looted and razed to the ground.

This ongoing brutal occupation and cultural genocide in Tibet by the Communist Chinese continues to force many Tibetans to escape into exile by making a perilous journey across the Himalayas to Nepal and India. Many arrive malnourished, frostbitten, traumatized and destitute. Among these new arrivals are large numbers of children, nuns and monks. The Tibetan government-in-exile immediately goes to work to find placement for the new arrivals in such settings as a monastery, a nunnery, the Tibetan Children's Village, or with relatives, friends, or foster parents.

Portraits for Charity's™ founder Kristina, is grateful for Kathy Nolan, Tibet Aid's executive director's generous guidance in helping to make the first "Kids Share" become real. PFC's mission is to mail a complete workshop package with disposable cameras and art supplies to the SOS Tibetan Children's Village in Bylakuppe, India. PFC  will be hosting a fundraiser to help raise money for the Tibetan Children's Villages special needs.

Please meet our first superhero co-created by Kristina and Ash!

highres.jpeg"Hi! I'm Speed Demon 2!  I have a mission to transport  "Kids Share"-Storybooks with other mascot friends to the SOS Tibetan Children's Village. My first stop was Union Elementary School in Montpelier, where Mrs. Kelley and her 5th grade students told wild stories of life in Vermont.

Children here have interesting ideas to stop global warming like using
cars that run on mushrooms.  They also enjoy country fairs, but agreed a
place called Delish was the best place in town! My adventure will take me to
other schools with new stories.

I am the right man for this mission! My master, Ash Brittenham made me super human by designing a special jet which will propel me to other schools where I will share these tales and meet up with a new superhero friend. We are excited to start our storybook adventure. We hope you will join us!"
