Kids Share Global Narratives
Portraits for Charity™ workshops Teach children how to Create Illustrated Narratives and to Exchange them with Kids in other Cultures through a Kids Share Global Narrative Book produced at the end of each school year. Once we find the right Publisher, Our Goal is to Donate our books to each village we visit and to give a percentage of book sales. *Please vote for Kristina and a Team Leader to win a trip to India! About PFC -Portraits for Charity, LLC (PFC) is an organization that has a unifying goal to connect children of the world through art and writing of their personal narratives. Currently our first Kids Share Global Narrative project is taking place with Vermont and Tibetan children. PFC encourages the thought process of cross cultural sharing through art and writing and how it could be put together in a global narrative book to be shared with others. Through the creation and publishing of a Kids Share Global Narrative book PFC hopes to raise awareness of endangered cultures and of each child's own environment. We are working with the SOS Children's Villages in India. In the fall of 2009 Kristina and a team leader will travel to Dharmasala, India to work with the SOS Tibetan Children's Village. The themes each child writes about, their artwork and photographs will touch your heart. Learn from children while you walk into their world through Portraits for Charity's first Kids Share: Global Children's Narrative Book! Working through the arts to help others is rewarding and can inspire cross-cultural understanding. Children the world over share many common needs: love, shelter, nourishment, education, play and more. Our goal is to give kids an opportunity to express themselves through illustrated narratives.
